Building the quantum internet one photon at a time

Abstract

I will present some of our activities on quantum communication. We will start by looking at how we generate single photons in the lab and then, by combining more and more of these, create complex entangled quantum states. We also then look at the challenges of distributing this entanglement and using teleportation in networks as a resource for future applications.
